The Earring Rules for Fall/Winter 26

Trends don’t start in a trend report. They start with earrings people can’t stop looking at. And this season, the earrings are doing the talking.

Rule 1: Let the earring lead

Skip the matching sets and the stacked necklaces. This season, one bold earring is the whole outfit. A sculpted silhouette, a dramatic drop or a oversized shape does the work, so keep everything else simple. Pull your hair back, wear a clean neckline, and let the earrings be the first thing anyone sees.

Rule 2: Think in silhouettes

The strongest earrings have a shape that reads from across the room. Look for sculpted lines, strong curves and architectural forms that frame the face. It’s what makes someone ask, “Where did you get those?” That question is the point of every piece in the Silhouette Collection.

Rule 3: Mix your metals

Gold and silver tones are no longer a clash. Wear both, and make it look intentional. Pair a warm statement earring with a cool-toned chain at the neck, or let one dramatic silver pair stand alone against a dark coat. The rule is to commit: pick the look and wear it with confidence.

Rule 4: Go dark, go bold

Fall and winter palettes are black, charcoal, deep brown and rich neutrals, which is the perfect backdrop for statement earrings. A black turtleneck with sculpted earrings is a look that never fails. Evening, dinner, the holidays: the darker the outfit, the more the earrings shine.

Rule 5: Wear them often

Statement earrings aren’t only for special occasions. Wear them to work, to brunch and out at night. The more you wear a bold pair, the more it becomes part of your signature look, and signature is what style is about
